Nature in Two Bytes
thrice the air
struck its
notes to the wind; two times plus
seven the ladybug
flies through six a’seven nights
A turtle said to her monkey friend
Where is your shell?
A monkey said to her fish friend
Where is your fur?
A fish said to her plant friend
Where is your fins?
And on went evolution
"Pattycake pattycake baker’s man
Bake me a cake as fast as you can.
Roll it and pat it
And mark it with a ‘D’
And put it in the oven for baby and me."
Aseem Aseem, eleven classes
Coffee and Caffee
And he’s not ticklish
If the color blue were to speak to me
-what would it say?
Would it thank me for wearing it,
Each and every day?
Would it chuckle to remember
The accident last year,
When I coated myself in Carl’s printer ink
ò
Would it speak of the loss, and the find
The subconsciously persuaded mind
The reasons in roots obscure to find
Sadly I,
Sadly I,
Broke a sibling color.
