what the hell do I need a title for?

*readers be warned. this article isn't funny.
unless you like black humor.
and even then, it's stretching it.*

to continue with the readers that are still interested- when i received the anonymous email from TFJ, i thought two things:

1. who the hell sent it?
2. why should i cooperate?

i still don't know the answer to the first question, but as to the second - because it gives me a medium. more than that- it gives me a chance to influence a community that whether i like it or not, made a dramatic change in my life. when i helped start this website along with Carl and Shige, i felt as if it drew the community together. and that's what i'd like to see this year, although i'm no longer part of this community. so, i decided to write again for TFJ to help it back on its feet.

now that i've introduced myself and explained my motivation, let's continue. in this article, i'm going to say basically what i wish to see in Transfinite Joy this year. i know that the funny articles, on the whole, are better. they're more stimulating, they're distracting, and they're easy to write. this doesn't mean, however, TFJ should be composed soley of these. i believe that this Emagazine should be composed of a blend of both the things that make Governor's School funny and give people a way to express their creative side. in my year, i quickly discovered that GSSM has little to no place for artistic endeavors. my guitar playing flagged, i didn't draw, i didn't write - except for submissions to TFJ. that's why i think this is important.
the best of luck to you all in the new year
