Sleep Deprived Govies, Caffeine, and Self-expression... Govies filled the assembly room Friday night and rounded out red ribbon week by inebriating themselves with the Govie’s nectar of choice (and most other insomniacs’), caffeine. At Friday night’s Coffee House, some sang, some acted, some read poetry, some revealed the secrete life of Mormons, while others simply danced with no pants on. Between the scheduled acts and the extemporaneous drawings (and, of course, the caffeine) the night was very stimulating. One Govie was overheard saying, "It stirred me like a wooden pot of liquid metal on a warm Sunday afternoon in a Bohemian forest of unicorn oaks." Through unbridled self-expression, each govie reached inside and retrieved a small yet adequately infinite piece of transfinite joy. |
