RobComm,
Ltd. decimated by soliton
Long-lasting wave from nearby barge destroys company
assets
Early last Thursday at 4:00 PM, a barge delivering supplies to RobComm, Ltd. pushed water forward, causing a rare scientific phenomenon known as waves. Scientists from the University of Chicago report that forms of the waves corresponding to the water wave equation "uxx - uutt + uxxx = 0" are particularly destructive because they never stop.
The numerous waves caused by the barge flooded important parts of the Hudson Bay in Canada, where they are enjoying even colder winters from the dust pumped north by the government-industry complex RobComm. This in turn caused the Mississippi to flood yet another time, but as the RobComm crater has truncated the river it had nowhere to flow but into the company's mining tunnels.
"In the business world we usually mean it positively when we say that our assets have flooded," commented a RobComm employee who asked to remain anonymous. Ironically, competitor CoreySoft has pounced on the opportunity. CoreySoft subsidiary "Movies-R-Us" has produced yet another natural disaster movie. An expected blockbuster hit "The Perfect Soliton" will swamp (pun intended) the theatres shortly.
"Like other hits The Sixth Sense and Atlas Shrugged, this one has a twist ending," CEO Garriott commented after the disaster, "We can't tell you what it is… oh, all right. You see, the natural disaster wins this time."
The massive lake that is RobComm has been having troubles maintaining electricity. The wiring has fused, giving much of the submerged area an electric potential harmful to life. This is unfortunate, as there is massive energy drain required to maintain the Ghostbusters-style ghost traps. Industry insiders speculate that The Non-Corporeal Being Formerly Known As Vince will make its escape soon and continue its crusade for legal recognition and the downfall of (what is left of) RobComm, Ltd.
