Magicant is a realm in the Mother series. When the Earthbound kid goes inside his own mind using the power of the sound stones, he unlocks a world in which memory and imagination are physically embodied. In this world, he finds friends in the Bird Men, a group of anthropomorphic birds that function as his “courage” in the world of magicant. There are 5 Bird Men, and when they die, they stay dead. Ultimately however, this world cannot replace the external world and is dissolved after the Earthbound kid confronts his “Nightmare,” his evil side given phenomenal form.
