MIYAMOTO Shigeru (宮本茂) was born November 16, 1952 in Sonobe-chô, Kyôto, Japan. One day as a child living in the still rural area of Kyôto, Miyamoto came across a hole in the ground. Eventually, he got up the courage to explore the cave inside it. After that day, his life changed completely.
“What if everything you see is more than what you see - the person next to you is a warrior and the space that appears empty is a secret door to another world? What if something appears that shouldn’t? You either dismiss it, or you accept that there is much more to the world than you think. Perhaps it is really a doorway, and if you choose to go inside, you’ll find many unexpected things.”
Miyamoto went on to give birth to Mario and the modern age of videogames at Nintendo. He also play an intriguing role in the Zero Saga.
