Toyama prefecture (富山県) is an area of Japan best known for its snows, cheap electricity, and a crippling bone disease called itai-itai byo (literally, ouch ouch disease). It is located on the Japan Sea side of Honshû. The capital is Toyama City. The name of the prefecture is only one character different than Mount Fuji (富士山).
