This is bragable:
I got Nintendo Co. Ltd. to change its homepage for me.
They recently revamped their site, and on their DS page, they had a graphic that said “Softwares” over top of a list of upcoming software for the DS. I got them to change it.
Here’s my e-mail:
http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ds/ には英語間違っています。 「Softwares」が書いてありますが、実は「ソフトウェア」は 「数えられない言葉」ということです。ですので、いくつの ソフトウェアがあってもsを付けずに単数形で「Software」を 書けばいいです。いつでも「Software」を使った方がいいです。
よろしくお願いします
Meaning:
There’s an English mistake at http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ds/. The word “Softwares” is written, but actually, “Software” is a so-called uncountable word. Therefore, no matter how much software you have, you don’t add an “s” but leave it in the singular “software.” It’s always best to write “Software.”
